The father
Meet Coach Tracey Thomas, a highly experienced basketball coach with a passion for the game that has spanned over 25 years. Born and raised in the Northwest, Tracey's love for basketball began at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. He attended Bothell High School and graduated from Redmond High School, where he honed his skills on the court and became a standout player.
After high school, Tracey continued his academic and athletic journey at the University of Washington on a track scholarship. Becoming one of the top 10 all-time high jumpers at UW. It was during this time that Tracey discovered his passion for coaching and knew that he wanted to make a difference in the lives of young athletes.
Throughout his coaching career, Tracey has sent over 15 players on to play college basketball, a testament to his dedication and expertise in the sport. He also had the privilege of working alongside Wisconsin High School Hall of Fame coach Andy Cerroni for 10 years, where he played a crucial role in establishing a successful basketball program in the State.
For the past 11 seasons, Tracey has served as the Head Varsity Assistant Boys basketball coach at Lake Washington High, working with the 2022 and 2024 Kingco Coach of the Year, Ryan Staudacher. Together, they have achieved great success, qualifying for the state tournament four times and winning the 3A Kingco Championship in 2022.
Off the court, Tracey is a proud father of three grown children - McKenzie, Shelby, and Calvin. He credits his family for their unwavering support and understanding of his passion for coaching. With his wealth of knowledge and experience, Tracey continues to inspire and shape young athletes, leaving a lasting impact on the basketball community.

Meet Coach Calvin Thomas, one of his favorite early memories starts back in the gym being a ball boy watching his father (Tracey Thomas) coach high school basketball in Wisconsin. Ever since then the game of basketball has been an outlet, a safe haven, and passion that means the world to Calvin. Having learned the game through his fathers eyes analyzing every detail from basic fundamentals to complex offensive and defensive situational reads.
Calvin has been a gym rat all his life doing everything he can to get better and take on bigger competition. Calvin started coaching in 2021 and since then coaching has become a deep rooted passion woven through family ties for his father and him.
He has had a great impact at the JV and Varsity level being a part of the coaching staff at Lake Washington High School, which has qualified for state the past few years. Calvin's main purpose is to give the gift of knowledge of the game to all the aspiring young athletes in the world. Calvin believes he has been put on earth to be a guiding force to the youth and connect with them on a personal level to bring them to greater heights.
