What, why & when
What
A focused 2-day basketball camp designed to prepare your 5th–8th grader for high school-level play — led by real high school coaches.
Why
Most camps entertain kids. Ours trains them to think, move, and perform like real players — with coaching, feedback, and competition that makes them better.
When
August 9th–10th at The Ridge Activity Center in Bothell, WA.
Meet Your Coaches: Coach Tracey & Coach Calvin
Hi — we’re Coach Tracey and Coach Calvin. We’re a father-son duo who have spent a combined 40+ years coaching basketball in the Seattle area.
Coach Tracey has trained players for over 30 years. Coach Calvin now works with high school teams at Lake Washington. Between us, we’ve helped over 15 players reach college basketball — and trained hundreds of kids to make their school teams and compete at the next level.
We started Dynamic Hoops to fix a big problem:
Most kids never learn how to really train.
They go to camps that are fun, but don’t teach them what actually matters. They don’t know how to handle pressure, move off the ball, or make smart plays.
That’s why they get cut.
This camp changes that.
In just two days, your child will get the same training we give our high school players. They’ll learn how to stand out — not just play harder, but play smarter. And they’ll walk away with real skills, real feedback, and real confidence.
This isn’t for everyone. It’s for players who want to improve and are ready to work.
Your kid will learn:
Ball-Handling Under Pressure: protect the ball against real defensive pressure
Game-Ready Shooting Form: shoot consistently in live game situations
Basketball IQ & Decision Making: make smart reads under pressure
Tryout-Specific Drills: train exactly what coaches are watching for
Spacing, Timing & Movement: master off-ball skills that win games
What if You’re Wasting Time & Money Training the Wrong Things?
Most camps are just scrimmages and babysitting — lots of fun, zero development.
At Dynamic Hoops, we focus on the real skills that win tryouts.
We’ve helped 15+ players get to college. We know what coaches are watching for.

“Coach Tracey was more than just a basketball coach; he was a mentor, a friend, and a relentless force in shaping the player and person I am today. His impact on my life during my high school years from 2006 to 2010 is immeasurable.
Beyond his exceptional basketball acumen, Coach Tracey possessed a rare ability to connect with his players on a personal level. His genuine care and enthusiasm created a supportive and inspiring environment for us to grow. He was not only a demanding coach but also a compassionate mentor who pushed us to reach our full potential.
One of the most significant ways Coach Tracey prepared me for college basketball was through his relentless emphasis on defense. His demanding practices and drills forged my mental toughness and physical tenacity. The pressure-cooker environment he created taught me to compete at an elite level and to never back down from a challenge. These skills proved invaluable when I stepped onto the college court.
Coach Tracey’s influence extends far beyond the basketball court. He taught me the importance of hard work, discipline, and teamwork, values that have guided me throughout my life. I am eternally grateful for his mentorship and unwavering belief in my abilities.”
Brett Meinecke
“Tracey helped me slow the game down and really see what was happening; reading defenses, making the right decisions, knowing when to create for others and when to call my own number. As well as hone my leadership skills”
Yoav Ziklik
“Coach Thomas played a pivotal role in my development as a player. He is very honest, knowledgeable, and encouraging with his player development style. He knew what I needed to work on in my game, and he made sure I addressed those things. He really helped me with skills that translated to real games, not just "skill work". I am very thankful to have been coached by him!”
